Boyer Paulisick & Eberle is pleased to announce that Kristin L. Biss (formerly Kristin L. Skalos) has become a partner of the firm, effective April 1, 2021.
Ms. Biss’ practice includes complex divorce, custody and support matters through all stages of negotiation and litigation. Ms. Biss’ practice also includes adoption, estate planning and administration, adult guardianships and juvenile dependency matters.
Ms. Biss graduated cum laude from Slippery Rock University in 2006 earning her Bachelor of Science in Social Work. Ms. Biss later graduated summa cum laude from the University of Pittsburgh earning a Master of Science in Social Work and was awarded the Excellence in Social Work award from the University of Pittsburgh in 2007. Ms. Biss obtained her Juris Doctor from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota in 2013, served as a volunteer with the Minnesota Justice Foundation StreetLaw educational program, worked providing pro bono legal services with the Volunteer Lawyer Network in Minneapolis and served as a legal intern with the Hennepin County Fourth Judicial District.
Ms. Biss began her legal career in 2013, as an associate with the firm of Boyer Paulisick & Eberle. In 2017, she joined a prominent family law firm and continued focusing on a multi-county family law practice.
Ms. Biss has served as a guest lecturer with the Slippery Rock University School of Social Work, served a Member of the Board of Directors for the Community Health Clinic of Butler County and has worked as a volunteer with the Wills for Heroes program as part of the Butler County Bar Association. Ms. Biss has received the distinguished honor of being named a Pennsylvania Super Lawyer Rising Star, a rating service of outstanding lawyers who have attained a high-degree of peer recognition and professional achievement.
Ms. Biss resides in McCandless, Pennsylvania with her husband and children.
